Crater Bowls

 

Most of the body of work for ‘textiles, texture and touch’, has a surface pattern which was created by applying  photocopies with impasto medium to linen/ cotton. In order for the image to appear after the fabric is set, I wet then rubbed the backing paper off to expose the image. I collected the rubbings and reused the pliable material mixed with impasto medium to mould the bowls. The depth of colour is dependent on the amount of ink on the images.
